Wen wundert's?! Dass diese Band mit dem Namen nach RAMONES klingt? Dass eine Band aus München auf Bayrisch singt? Und dass diese Band, bestehend aus drei alten München-Punk-Hasen (u.a. Loni Kopp) jede Menge Charme hat? 15 sehr gut produzierte Songs, die Titel tragen wie "Koana kummt an mi hi", "Früher war ois besser", "Bulln auf da Demo", "Da Depp vom Dienst" und "I hob Recht (auf Faul-sein)". 2 ganz eigen interpretierte Cover-Songs gibt's noch oben drauf: „Surfin' Bird" wird zum „Rasenmäha" und das schreckliche „Bergwerk" von „Rainhard Fendrich" (!) wird zum „Klärwerk". Schlicht, fesselnd, hymnisch, witzig!! Zu jeder CD gibt's einen Gratis-Button. (BSC MUSIC) Die REACTIONS aus Florida bestanden von 1979-82 und brachten in jener Zeit zwei heute sehr gesuchte 7"es heraus. Sie spielten wirklich großartigen melodischen Punk, zum Teil mit leichtem PowerPop-Einschlag. Der Vergleich mit den großartigen EAT drängt sich geradezu auf. Die LP enthält 17 Songs; 7 Songs von den 7"es, 6 bisher unveröffentliche Studio-Demos und 4 Live-Songs von 1980 und 81. Das ganze kommt in großartigem Klappcover mit vielen Fotos und einer Band-Story. Und obendrein gibt's eine Download-Karte! Grandiose erste Veröffentlichung des neuen CHEAP REWARDS-Labels aus Austin/Texas!!! --- THE REACTIONS emerged in 1979 amidst the budding South Florida punk scene that featured such revered acts as The Eat, The Essentials, and The Cichlids. Their rapid-fire songs, punctuated by driving guitar and anthemic vocals, foreshadowed the pop punk sound that gained popularity over the next several decades. The Reactions self-released two limited edition 7" EPs during their brief tenure. Though both records failed to garner the commercial success the band craved, astute music lovers the world over have since discovered their undeniably catchy, hook-filled songs that captivated audiences across Florida for a brief moment in time. The current demand for the original vinyl records has turned them into sought after collector's items. As its debut release, Cheap Rewards Records is proud to present Saturday's Gone Wild, a collection of rare and lost recordings by The Reactions. The LP includes the songs from their two releases, 1980's Official Release EP and 1981's Love You EP, as well as previously unreleased demo and live recordings that capture the essence of the band's sound and energy. These tracks were meticulously restored and mastered from deteriorating tapes and now, for the first time, music appreciators can enjoy these lost gems. The record is packaged in a deluxe gatefold sleeve with band photos and liner notes by South Florida legend, Charlie Pickett. All copies come with a free digital download card. Der großartige Titelsong klingt nach den BARRACUDAS mit einer zusätzlichen Prise Powerpop, gefolgt von dem eher ruhigen "Lose Your Love". Auf der B-Seite bekomt man mit "You're Telling Lies" eine flotte, druckvolle Powerpop Nummer und mit "When I Do, I Will Die" einen rasanten Pop Punk Song im Stil der CARPETTES.
